Position Title: RN - Cancer Research Infusion

Employment Type: Full Time (40 Hour Week)

As a caregiver at Swedish, you will utilize your specialized skills to provide outstanding health services while fostering meaningful connections with patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering relevant assessment data, including current condition, medical history, and psychosocial information, to identify patient needs.
  • Creating, reviewing, and updating personalized care plans that set measurable and achievable outcomes.
  • Assessing patient responses to treatment and making necessary adjustments in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Incorporating patient education into care delivery and documenting learning outcomes.
  • Maintaining clinical competencies and adhering to institutional standards.
  • Delivering care based on established nursing principles and prioritizing tasks according to patient needs.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues while advocating for patient interests.
  • Documenting all relevant information accurately and promptly in the appropriate systems.
  • Delegating tasks appropriately to team members based on their skills and expertise.
  • Providing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including hydration and infusion therapies.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Supporting the mission and values of the Swedish Cancer Institute.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and education.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Infusion Oncology Nursing.
