- Gather relevant assessment information including current condition, medical history, and psychosocial factors, utilizing insights from patients, families, and healthcare team members as applicable. Analyze data to determine patient needs and potential issues.

- Consider the patient's age as a critical factor and apply appropriate decision-making skills in assessment, treatment, and care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues. Act as a patient advocate. Utilize resources efficiently.
- Document comprehensive and accurate information on all relevant chart forms and digital applications promptly. Ensure appropriate billing for services rendered.
- Delegate tasks effectively, utilizing the skills of department members while respecting and valuing their contributions.
- Deliver nursing care to patients undergoing assessment, treatment, and supportive care for cancer, employing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer nursing care to patients receiving hydration, infusions, and supportive therapies, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide and document education for patients and families, recognizing the significance of the patient's age, growth, and developmental stage. Engage in the education of professional peers.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission, vision, values, and goals of the Swedish Cancer Institute.
- Engage in ongoing education for self and fellow staff members.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Infusion Oncology Nursing.
