POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist, under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, will oversee a diverse array of Human Resources functions. This includes talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance evaluation, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of HR methodologies and employment legislation, along with a commitment to fostering a constructive and efficient workplace atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Oversee the complete recruitment process, encompassing job advertising, candidate evaluation, interviewing, and final selection.
- Facilitate the onboarding and orientation of new hires to ensure a seamless integration into the organization.
Employee Engagement:
- Act as the primary contact for employee queries and issues, offering guidance and assistance.
- Address employee engagement matters, mediate disputes, and strive to resolve issues in an equitable and consistent manner.
- Promote a supportive work culture by encouraging open dialogue and mutual respect.
Performance Evaluation:
- Support the creation and execution of performance management frameworks, including goal establishment, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Provide mentorship and assistance to managers and staff regarding performance-related topics.
Regulatory Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Assist in the formulation, dissemination, and enforcement of organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices and legal standards.
Training & Development:
- Organize and conduct training sessions on various subjects, including company policies, HR protocols, and employee development.
- Identify avenues for ongoing enhancement in HR practices and employee involvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices, labor regulations, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of fostering relationships across all organizational levels.
- Proven track record of managing sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong analytical skills and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is advantageous.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Availability to work beyond standard office hours may be required.
- Work environment primarily consists of indoor office tasks performed in a climate-controlled setting.
- Position may require prolonged periods of walking, sitting, and/or standing.
- Involves occasional bending, crouching, and reaching for files or tools.
- Frequent repetitive hand movements (e.g., typing) are necessary.
- May involve lifting, carrying, or pushing items weighing up to 20 pounds.
