Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Supervisor is a key member of the Providence Alaska Medical Center team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Respiratory Care department in the pediatric areas of the hospital, including the NICU. This role requires strong leadership and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality patient care and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Respiratory Care team to deliver patient care in a compassionate and ethical manner, adhering to recognized standards.
  • Coordinate team efforts to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, team performance, and department efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification or National Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • 5 years of recent experience in Respiratory Care, with at least 2 years in NICU or PICU.
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or related field (preferred).
  • 2 years of previous supervisory experience in Respiratory Care (preferred).
