Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Associate to join our team at Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers. As the first point of contact for patients, physicians, and vendors, this role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and vendors via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Verify health plan eligibility and process related transactions.
  • Manage phone calls, messages, and scheduling appointments using an electronic practice management system.
  • Perform various clerical duties to support daily clinic operations, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist or equivalent experience in a high-volume customer service role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Keyboarding skills and ability to utilize computer equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with electronic practice management systems and multi-line phones.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
