Job Title: Administrative Assistant

St. Catherine's Parish is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support its Office of Religious Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, documents, and databases.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to parish staff, parents, and volunteers.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events, sacraments, and retreats.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Religious Education to ensure a smooth and successful catechetical program.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, mailings, and email communication.
  • Support the Child Protection Coordinator in ensuring compliance with diocesan guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a master calendar for the Faith Formation program.
Requirements:
  • Confirmed and practicing member of the Catholic Church.
  • Experience in a Faith Formation or religious education program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software products and Parish Soft database.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish.
  • Interest in training as a Virtus/Child Protection Coordinator.
