Position Overview:

This role is essential for maintaining the reliability and functionality of all automation, control systems, and IT equipment within the facility. The technician will provide both electrical and mechanical support, ensuring optimal performance of processes, equipment, and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety by driving a zero EHS incident approach and participating in incident investigations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives using the Pactiv Business System (PBS).
  • Monitor, calibrate, and repair manufacturing equipment and instruments.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and motor drive systems.
  • Perform electrical installations and modifications as needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Utilize problem-solving techniques to address operational challenges and enhance efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Collaborate with corporate personnel to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation and manuals.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be available for flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training is necessary.
  • Associates Degree in Maintenance or Industrial Technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of industrial maintenance experience with a focus on automation and controls is required.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, including networking and computer systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and SAP is expected.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to apply mathematical concepts are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are required.
