Job Overview

Position Summary:


The Certified IV Pharmacy Technician III plays a crucial role in supporting pharmacists to deliver safe, efficient, and economical pharmaceutical services.

This position operates with limited oversight, ensuring the smooth operation of workflow, inventory management, billing, and other intricate pharmacy functions. Furthermore, this role entails taking responsibility for a designated specialty area.

Talent Pool:
Allied Health Professionals

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepares both hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
2. Records all activities in the Simplify system, including routine cleaning tasks.
3. Aids pharmacists in the preparation of medications by organizing, labeling, and assembling prescriptions.
4. Assists in maintaining inventory levels and managing stock.
5. Oversees pharmacy workflow, including the ordering and receipt of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
6. Acts as a mentor for the training and onboarding of new staff members.
7. Leads initiatives for process enhancements and departmental quality improvements.
8. Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED - CERTIFICATION THROUGH PTCB OR NHA IS MANDATORY

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of 5 years in a related field

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician certification is essential.
