Job Description:

This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and functionality of all automation, control systems, and IT infrastructure within the facility. The incumbent will provide both electrical and mechanical support, focusing on the development, analysis, and maintenance of various processes, equipment, and products. Collaboration with plant personnel is crucial for conducting tests, diagnostics, repairs, and enhancements to machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of zero EHS incidents, engaging in investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in Tier Meetings and utilize the Pactiv Business System (PBS) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor, calibrate, and repair manufacturing equipment and instruments.
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and motor drive systems, providing effective solutions.
  • Execute electrical and electronic installations and modifications.
  • Possess a deep understanding of electrical circuitry, electronics, and electromechanical concepts.
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of current automation and control techniques.
  • Employ problem-solving methodologies to address operational challenges and enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with corporate personnel to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Develop and revise operational procedures as necessary.
  • Manage departmental budgets and provide explanations for variances.
  • Deliver training across various organizational levels.
  • Oversee contractors to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain technical documentation and records of equipment modifications.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment through effective housekeeping practices.
  • Be available for flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, and be on-call as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training is necessary.
  • Associates Degree in Maintenance or Industrial Technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of industrial maintenance experience with a focus on automation and controls.
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology (IT), including networking and computer systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and SAP.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Possess or be prepared to acquire the necessary tools for the position.
