Position Summary:
This role is a part-time, contracted opportunity that does not include benefits. We seek a skilled professional capable of building effective partnerships with onsite personnel to identify safety challenges and prioritize corrective actions aimed at significantly reducing workplace injuries and discomfort. The Specialist will deliver individualized and group training sessions, conduct workstation evaluations, provide coaching on body mechanics, and recommend improvements to processes and equipment to enhance safety. Regular reporting on training activities and progress will be required.

Compensation:
Hourly rate ranges from $45 to $55, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid license or certification in one of the following areas:
    • Massage Therapy (LMT/CMT)
    • Athletic Training (AT)
    • Physical Therapy (DPT) or Physical Therapy Assistance (PTA)
    • Occupational Therapy (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistance (COTA)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in injury prevention, rehabilitation, or workplace ergonomics.
  • Educational background in movement science, kinesiology, or sports training.
  • Willingness to learn and apply proprietary therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong skills in observation and report writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with management and staff.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and documentation.
  • Current Liability Insurance.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations, including Covid-19.
  • Preferred degree or certification in Kinesiology or Exercise Science.
**Note:** Background checks and drug screenings are mandatory following contract acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement injury prevention strategies and therapeutic interventions based on client needs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations.
  • Provide biomechanical training and monitor improvements.
  • Facilitate group training sessions.
  • Collaborate with site safety and management teams.
  • Design and lead pre-shift and post-lunch conditioning exercises tailored to departmental needs.
  • Utilize therapeutic techniques for wellness-focused pain relief.
  • Address specific departmental concerns through targeted training and coaching.
