Position Summary:
This is a part-time, contracted role that does not include benefits. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional capable of fostering collaborative relationships with onsite teams to identify safety concerns and prioritize corrective actions aimed at minimizing employee injuries and discomfort. Responsibilities include delivering individualized and group training sessions, conducting workstation evaluations, providing body mechanics coaching, and offering recommendations for process improvements and equipment modifications. The Specialist will also be responsible for compiling weekly and monthly reports detailing all training, coaching, and recommendations provided, along with progress in biomechanical training metrics.

Compensation:
$45-$55 per hour, commensurate with licensure, education, training, and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or license in your state in one of the following areas:
    • Massage Therapy (LMT/CMT)
    • Athletic Training (AT)
    • Physical Therapy (DPT) or Physical Therapy Assistance (PTA)
    • Occupational Therapy (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistance (COTA)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in injury prevention, rehabilitation, or workplace ergonomics.
  • Educational background in movement science, kinesiology, or sports training/coaching.
  • Willingness to learn and apply DORN's specialized deep tissue therapy techniques.
  • Strong skills in observation and report writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, particularly with onsite management and employees.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including document creation and email communication.
  • Current Liability Insurance.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19.
  • Preferred degree or certification in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related fields.
**Note:** DORN mandates background checks and drug screenings for all providers upon contract acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a combination of injury prevention strategies and therapeutic interventions based on client needs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations.
  • Provide biomechanical training and coaching to promote improvement.
  • Facilitate group training sessions.
  • Engage in collaboration and communication with site safety and management personnel.
  • Design and implement pre-shift/post-lunch conditioning exercises tailored to departmental needs.
  • Utilize deep tissue techniques for wellness-oriented pain relief.
  • Conduct mobility sessions to enhance employee well-being.
  • Address specific departmental concerns through targeted training and coaching based on collected data.
