USA Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and access to our medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies, performing these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values.
- Assist with the orientation of new employees and ensure complete and accurate registration of patients.
- Explain payment policies, review accounts for old debts, and collect payments in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilize supportive insurance information to ensure entry of correct third-party data and obtain required signatures.
- Prepare admission charts and patient cards, route patients to appropriate ancillary departments, and perform discharge procedures as needed.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Safety Standards, distribute charts, and obtain missing information.
- Operate cash drawers, balance using an adding machine, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, healthcare teams, and staff in person and via telephone.
- Respond to overhead pages, participate on committees as assigned, and participate in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of general clerical experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Regular and prompt attendance, with the ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
