Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Portal Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the use of our patient portal system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies, performing responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values.
  • Assist with orientation of new employees and maintain adequate supply of items necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Complete Opt In or Opt Out paperwork for each patient visit and update the Cerner System to reflect the patient's selection.
  • Instruct patients who Opt In on how to access their information in the USA Patient Portal, including supplying information, education, and training on how to use the Portal.
  • Activate the provisioning flag in the Cerner System once portal provisioning is complete.
  • Provide backup to Patient Portal Representatives at any USA Hospital during staffing shortages.
  • Exhibit proficiency when utilizing and accessing the Hospital Information System (Cerner).
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, including updating daily spreadsheets and emailing to Assistant Manager of Operations.
  • Communicate and use appropriate customer relation skills with physician, patients, families, healthcare team, and staff in person and via telephone.
  • Respond to overhead pages and complete all mandatory unit, education, and hospital requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of general clerical experience, one of which was in medical records.
  • Excellent computer, communication, and customer service skills.
