Homeless Services Manager Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team as a Homeless Services Manager. This role involves leading our Homeless Outreach Team in Downtown and NE DC, supervising outreach specialists, and managing resources to address homelessness in our service area. About Pathways to Housing DC: Our organization is dedicated to ending homelessness and supporting recovery for individuals with complex health challenges. We employ a Housing First approach, moving people directly from the streets into permanent housing without preconditions. Our programs and services include Housing First Teams, Homeless Street Outreach, an Urgent Care Clinic, Supported Employment, Behavioral Healthcare, and services at the Downtown Day Services Center. We operate in Montgomery County, MD, and have moved over 900 people into permanent housing since 2004. Our annual budget is approximately $1.5 million, and we serve around 3,500 individuals annually.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising and mentoring outreach specialists to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Managing resources to address homelessness in our service area.
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to support our mission.
  • Maintaining accurate records in Electronic Medical Records and ensuring timely data entry.


Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in a social service field, at least 3 years of experience working with homeless populations, and 3+ years of supervisory experience. You should also possess excellent communication, writing, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a driver's license is required. The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
