NHT has a staff of 50+ across five program areas: Policy, Lending, Real Estate Development, Community Outreach and Impact, and Energy Solutions. Our hallmark is our cross-functional, integrated approach to innovating, demonstrating, and amplifying solutions to the affordable housing crisis in the U.S.

The Role

We seek an individual with a passion for affordable housing to join our highly productive lending team as an Lending Operations Associate. This role involves supporting grant applications and tracking, performing data entry and analysis, document preparation, and providing essential administrative support to the management team.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, proactive individual with strong organizational skills, a commitment to our mission, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. The role requires excellent interpersonal and organizational communications skills, including verbal and written. A demonstrated aptitude for learning software systems and carrying out data entry is also required.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage schedules for internal team meetings, board meetings, and engagements with external partners.
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure effective communication between stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the management team, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Draft and manage internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and its partners, addressing inquiries and coordinating responses.
  • Support the team's programmatic work including grant management, coalition participation, and ongoing projects.

This position is DC-based and qualifies for a hybrid work schedule, working a minimum of two days per week at NHT's corporate office. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience, estimated at $65,000 annually.
