Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Front of House Host to join our team at Kramers Restaurant in Washington DC. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, managing waitlists as necessary.
  • Provide menus and answer initial questions, making recommendations when possible.
  • Assign tables strategically, balancing server workloads and guest preferences.
  • Engage with guests throughout their meal, addressing concerns and exceeding expectations.
  • Respond to complaints professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage phone calls, take reservations, and answer menu-related queries confidently.
  • Assist other staff members as needed, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, consistently meeting high standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to lift trays of food safely and maneuver them easily when necessary.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, asking questions when needed.
  • Experience in high-volume full-service restaurants is a plus.
