Position Overview

Lead Tier I Security Operations Center Analyst

Delaware Nation Industries is in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Tier I Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will be essential in our commitment to providing proactive security monitoring and incident response services.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • An Active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • A Security+ Certification is mandatory.
  • This role requires 100% onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the monitoring of security event alerts produced by various security tools.
  • Conduct investigations and analyses of security incidents to ascertain root causes and impacts.
  • Document and escalate incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Lead a team of Tier I SOC analysts in the monitoring of security alerts and prompt incident response.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to Tier I analysts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with SOC procedures.
  • Supervise the triage and initial analysis of security alerts generated by monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection tools, etc.).
  • Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine root causes, impacts, and appropriate responses.
  • Coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 SOC teams for escalated incident management and resolution.
  • Maintain and enhance SOC documentation, procedures, and playbooks.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, attack vectors, and advancements in cybersecurity technologies.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a SOC environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security incident management and response protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are advantageous.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in security incident response and management.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their security measures.
