About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Administrator at Heartland Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hospice locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Oversee the coordination of patient admissions and ancillary services
    • Direct, supervise, and evaluate hospice personnel and volunteers
    • Coordinate services of all team members at the multi-disciplinary site
  • Quality Improvement
    • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and service
    • Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles in day-to-day activities
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
    • Promote and monitor compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies, and state or federal law
  • Human Resources and Operations
    • Manage human resources effectively
    • Plan and organize tasks and resources to achieve strategic goals and objectives
    • Ensure documentation of services is accurate and timely
  • Financial Management
    • Manage financial resources prudently and effectively
    • Prepare, monitor, and review monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, mileage reimbursement, payroll, and other expenses
Requirements
  • Education
    • Registered Nurse with a minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
    • Master's degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred
  • Experience
    • Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required
    • Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care required
    • Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred
    • Three to five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred
  • Licenses, Certifications, and Registration
    • Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable
    • CPR Certification
    • Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license
