BURNCO LLC is seeking to expand our talented team of
Heavy Equipment - Workshop Technicians across various locations.

Under the supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Manager, the ideal candidates will handle the routine upkeep and repair of our fleet vehicles while ensuring our workshop environment remains safe and organized.

Compensation:
Starting at $28 per hour for experienced technicians

Key Responsibilities

EXPECTED OUTCOMES AND DELIVERABLES
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems in accordance with specifications and manuals.

Conduct visual inspections and listen to machinery to identify malfunction causes.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems effectively.

Communicate promptly and effectively with shop management regarding significant issues.

May operate mobile equipment, including service trucks, to retrieve malfunctioning vehicles.


Perform daily preventative maintenance, record inspections on service vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, tire/light checks, and fluid maintenance.

Service pumps and motors as required.

Engage in welding, repair, and fabrication tasks.

Procure parts necessary for repairs.

May be required to make service calls at other BURNCO LLC facilities or job sites.

Assist in training fellow employees as needed.

Maintain cleanliness in the work area.

Adhere to all BURNCO LLC policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main areas of focus include:
Effective Preventative Maintenance

Timely Response to Maintenance Requests

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong understanding of mechanics related to truck and general maintenance.

Proficient in using power tools, welders, cutting torches, and various safety equipment.

Demonstrated knowledge of proper maintenance procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and special work permits.

Proficient with computer systems and software.

Experience with Allison transmissions, Davie 4, and ESA software is advantageous.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Must possess a clean driving record.

A Commercial Driver's License is a plus.

Must provide personal tools up to 3/4.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma preferred.

3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic required.

Experience with concrete mixers is preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
May require travel to various company facilities for maintenance tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor conditions, including varying temperatures and precipitation.

Employee consistently utilizes eye/hand coordination, near vision, and hearing.

Employee frequently stands, walks, climbs, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts up to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes, pulls, and employs manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, far vision, and color discernment.

Employee is exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materials.

Required personal protective equipment includes safety shoes, safety vests, safety glasses, earplugs, and hard hats. Additional PPE may be required for specific tasks such as welding and repairs.
