Job Overview

Salary: $36.00-$45/hr. BOE-Licensing

We are seeking skilled individuals to contribute to our mission of ensuring safety through effective fire alarm services.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in fire alarm maintenance, hold NICET II certification or higher, and have a Colorado Springs Fire Installer Card. Backflow certification is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical abilities, analytical thinking, and a commitment to ongoing learning. This is a full-time role focused on achieving production targets in a dynamic low-voltage environment, with ample opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute instructions provided in various formats, including written and oral.
  • Interpret work orders and procedural documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Utilize hand tools and small power tools proficiently.
  • Assist senior technicians in inspecting and testing alarm systems and extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at job sites.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations as required.
  • Lift and transport equipment and tools weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Manage ladders safely, with a maximum height of 28 ft.
  • Participate in regular safety training sessions.
  • Employ personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Gain knowledge of construction phases, building codes, and NFPA 72 regulations.
  • Adhere to professional dress standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Foster positive working relationships with vendors, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Utilize time management software effectively.
  • Use mobile devices to communicate with Central Station regarding system statuses.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Conduct inspections and tests of alarm systems and extinguishers per NFPA 72 & 10.
  • Utilize Honeywell CLSS reporting software.
  • Accurately manage technician paperwork and inventory for vehicle and job assignments.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of the fleet vehicle and report any operational issues promptly.
  • Follow company vehicle policies and maintain safe driving practices.
  • Prepare clear and timely work orders and reports.
  • Utilize office equipment, mobile devices, and computers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to learn on the job while performing tasks.
  • Completion of all necessary apprentice applications.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer use and multitasking.
  • Logical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
  • Compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Possession of Colorado Springs Fire Installer License (mandatory).
  • NICET II Certification.
  • Backflow Certification (preferred).
  • Additional relevant licenses are advantageous.
  • Successful completion of a 10-panel drug test.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
