Job Overview

Position Summary:
Bowlin Group is in search of a dependable CDL Driver to become a part of our Communications Division. This role is essential for the secure and efficient transport of equipment and personnel to various project locations. While the majority of work will be conducted locally, this position may necessitate travel and occasional weekend commitments. Candidates will receive comprehensive training, making prior experience in this role optional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company vehicles, including heavy trucks and other vehicles requiring a CDL, to transport equipment and personnel to and from job sites.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, performing preventative maintenance as necessary.
  • Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules in collaboration with project managers and team leaders.
  • Comply with truck driving regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers driven, retaining fuel and toll receipts.
  • Report any defects, accidents, or violations immediately to the appropriate manager.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment and materials as required.
  • Ensure securement of loads according to safety standards to prevent damage to cargo.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary to complete tasks effectively and safely.
Physical Standards
  • Ability to engage in physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Conditions
  • Work performed outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions and potential hazards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating a variety of heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mandatory: Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience with bobcats and excavators is preferred but not required.

  • Pay: Competitive and based on experience.
