Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Bowlin Group is in search of an experienced Civil Foreman to manage and direct construction initiatives. This critical role is essential for ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. The Civil Foreman will be based in our Walton, KY office and will involve significant local work with potential travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of construction personnel and subcontractors on various civil engineering projects.
  • Interpret blueprints, construction plans, and project specifications to determine work requirements and establish procedures.
  • Set grades, operate transit equipment, form, excavate, and prepare foundations, including setting and tying rebar and constructing support structures.
  • Manage the pouring of concrete and ensure all construction tasks are executed with precision.
  • Monitor daily operations, including resource allocation, task assignments, and scheduling to adhere to project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies during all site operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and meetings to uphold safety standards and protocols.
  • Address issues that arise due to emergencies, delays, or workforce performance challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of construction site activities, personnel, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary feedback.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in various outdoor environments and under different weather conditions.
  • Must be physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks as required.
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain, lift heavy materials, and engage in physical labor as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory capacity within the construction sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess or qualify for necessary certifications, such as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if required.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience.
