This position plays a vital role in the secure and efficient transportation of equipment and personnel to various project locations. While the majority of work will be conducted locally, this role may necessitate travel and occasional weekend shifts. Candidates will receive thorough training, making specific skills optional for consideration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company vehicles, including heavy trucks and other vehicles requiring a CDL, to transport equipment and personnel to and from job sites.
  • Conduct inspections of vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, performing preventative maintenance as necessary.
  • Plan travel routes and adhere to delivery schedules in collaboration with project managers and team leaders.
  • Follow truck driving regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) along with company policies and procedures.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers driven, retaining fuel and toll receipts.
  • Report any defects, accidents, or violations immediately to the appropriate manager.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment and materials as required.
  • Ensure the securement of loads according to safety standards to prevent damage to cargo.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary to effectively and safely complete the job.
Physical Standards
  • Ability to engage in physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Conditions
  • Work performed outdoors, with exposure to extreme weather conditions and potential hazards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating a variety of heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mandatory: Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience with bobcats and excavators is preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: Competitive and based on experience.
