Key Responsibilities- Lead and Motivate Your Team: As a seasoned chef, you will lead and motivate your team of culinary professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
- Oversee Food Quality and Presentation: You will be responsible for ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety, whether it's for walk-in, pick-up, or delivery orders.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: You will oversee the quality of fresh ingredients received from our farm partners, manage inventory, supplies, prep lists, ordering, and QA processes in the restaurant.
- Run Successful Shifts: You will be responsible for running successful shifts, organizing the deployment board, and managing the prep schedule day in and day out.
- Execute Line Checks: You will conduct line checks to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that service runs smoothly.
- Manage Kitchen Operations: You will be responsible for maintaining a tight and orderly kitchen operation, including storage, labeling, preparation, and all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with Chef Operator: You will work closely with the Chef Operator to manage labor and food cost, ensuring that our kitchen operations are efficient and effective.
- Develop Your Team: You will be responsible for building your kitchen team, assisting in interviewing, hiring, providing performance improvement, and disciplinary action.
- Uphold Company Values: You will strictly uphold Dig's anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment for all team members.
- 1-2+ Years Managing a Restaurant Team: You will have experience managing a restaurant team, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong Work Ethic: You will demonstrate a strong work ethic, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Leadership Skills: You will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team, and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Physical Requirements: You will be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Food Safety Certification: You will hold a valid Food Safety Certification, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000-75,000/year, with annual increases and quarterly bonus potential. Our salary ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package; additional components include quarterly bonus potential, healthcare benefits, various work perks (commuter benefits, free lunch) as well as opportunities for continued growth at Dig.
