Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Perdue Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air equipment in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and rebuild refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Analyze, calibrate, replace, repair, or rebuild all equipment and machinery within established guidelines.
  • Perform Process Safety Management (PSM) and system overview.
  • Perform all safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, hot work, and confined space entry.
  • Fills out PSM log and check sheets.
  • Perform start-ups, shut-downs, and defrost procedures in all plant refrigeration systems.
  • Perform operational procedures, e.g., rounds, oil draining, oil adding, posting all logs, etc.
  • Adjust all machines to operate at established performance standards.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in ammonia or Freon refrigeration, boiler operations, and compressed air.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Reading and analytical skills preferred.
