Job Overview

The Advanced Reconditioning Technician will enhance and uphold customer satisfaction by effectively preparing all cold beverage equipment for installation and setting up all dispensing apparatus. This position supports all facets of equipment services to maintain a superior level of customer service and assist the equipment services team in achieving its objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment for installation in accordance with established procedures, including inspection, electrical system setup, lower cabinet, upper cabinet, and inner door.
  • Conduct final inspections, ensuring proper decals are applied, timers and prices are set, locks and lock covers are installed, asset tags are affixed, and improvements to the equipment are made as necessary.
  • Maintain, service, and repair refrigeration systems on equipment in compliance with refrigeration procedures, including refrigerant transfer, evacuation, and system charging; manage refrigerant leaks, recovery, and component replacement.
  • Ensure the highest quality inspections are conducted on all equipment, tailored to customer specifications, including customized graphics, flavors, and packaging configurations.
  • Perform thorough cleaning, replace or repair necessary parts, and install ancillary items such as LED Kits, doors, shelves, and front grills.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to standards set by the company and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Follow procedures for maintaining accurate accountability of all parts and labor, capturing all data, including equipment attribute changes in a mobile data device and updating inventory systems.
  • Prepare equipment for installation by removing blemishes through sanding and preparing surfaces for painting.
  • Mask and paint equipment as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic technical, electrical, and troubleshooting knowledge along with mechanical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to work in various positions, including squatting, kneeling, bending, and standing on concrete surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move objects weighing 100 lbs or more.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Desired knowledge of the soft drink industry.
  • Preferred experience in equipment services.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Hipot is advantageous.
  • Tools utilized include plasma cutters, hand tools, air tools, and handheld devices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge gained through 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Requires a fit test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Refrigeration Level 1 License.
  • Experience with air gun painting.
  • Requires a fit test.

The work environment may vary, including exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas that may not be temperature controlled.
