As a Pharmacy Distribution Center Technician at Parkview North Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of medication inventory within our health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process vendor orders, identifying and segregating products requiring barcoding.
- Accurately prepare and barcode applicable products, and properly store inventory in frozen, refrigerated, and non-refrigerated areas.
- Create production orders and follow bill of materials processes to produce and repackage medications in compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Utilize warehouse management system software to plan and release outbound orders, and pick and prepare medications for delivery.
- Maintain inventory control for distribution points, communicating supply issues with those locations.
- Consistently use standard operating procedures to ensure accurate order fulfillment processing while maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent GED required.
- Successful completion or enrollment in an Indiana Board of Pharmacy-approved Pharmacy Technician Training program within one year of employment.
- Must have an Indiana Board of Pharmacy Tech-in-Training license or a current State Board of Indiana license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern.
- One-year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician-oriented formal class work preferred.
- Shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience preferred.
- Warehouse management or inventory systems experience preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to use an RF handheld computer device as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, and twist frequently.
- Demonstrates ability to operate a pallet jack as needed.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
