Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC/R Technician to join our team at Tech-24 A Commercial Food Service Repair Company, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect equipment and components to identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance.
  • Communicate with customers and branch staff to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Complete service tickets according to company procedures and standards.
  • Manage inventory and track stock levels to ensure necessary parts are available.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and uniforms to meet Tech-24's high standards.
  • Set a positive example for less experienced technicians and promote a culture of excellence within the company.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Standard computer skills and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Industry-standard hand tools and ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the region and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new techniques and approaches.
  • Previous experience as a commercial HVAC/R technician and Universal EPA certification required.
