- Address customer inquiries regarding vessel schedules and operational requirements.
- Inform clients about relevant policies and regulations governing shipments.
- Conduct yard inventory reconciliations.
- Resolve issues presented by customers and vendors.
- Facilitate effective communication both internally and externally.
- Address various terminal-related vehicle issues.
- Create temporary organizations and update existing contact information.
- Monitor and rectify all Web and EDI bookings.
- Process customer payments when necessary.
- Generate and audit various computer reports.
- Engage in daily communication with other departments.
- Provide support across the department as needed.
- Execute accurate and efficient data entry tasks.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Preferred Associate's degree.
- One to two years of experience in customer service or billing, ideally within the transportation sector.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient math skills.
- Effective organizational capabilities.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Proficient in standard software applications, particularly Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), as well as E-service center and E-commerce web-based applications.
