About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Golf and Business Operations Coordinator to join our team at Metro Parks Tacoma. As a key member of our golf operations team, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of golf operations, including golf shop retail merchandising, tournament planning and coordination, and daily budget and business report preparation and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of golf shop retail merchandising, including inventory control and merchandising.
  • Coordinate tournament operations, including planning, pre-tournament contracts, post-tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up.
  • Assist with men's, women's, and junior golf events and programs.
  • Schedule part-time staff engaged in pro shop operations, driving range operation & maintenance, and golf cart maintenance.
  • Assist with instructional programming as directed.
  • Maintain the point of sale / electronic tee sheet system and provide daily reconciliation assistance.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
Requirements
  • At least two years of golf shop retail, tournament operations, operational and/or managerial experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of golf instruction experiences in classes, clinics, and programs required.
  • Valid Washington driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Membership in the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) or completion of Level One of the Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program required.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Cards.
