Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Power Shop Mechanic to join our team at Husky Terminal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the service and repair of all vehicles and heavy equipment, with a focus on RTGs for Stevedore/Terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and heavy equipment, including electrical systems, air conditioning systems, and diagnostic systems.
  • Identify and rectify primary and secondary system malfunctions, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Work closely with the General Foreman to prioritize tasks and ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Two years of related schooling or seven years of applicable experience.
  • Membership in the IAM Union and adherence to the applicable bargaining unit agreement.
  • Current EPA cards and field-related tools.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
