Job Title: Vice President of Construction

TurnDev is a vertically integrated real estate development company that specializes in developing and managing assets in various categories, including retail site development, multi-family, self-storage/industrial, and office. We leverage top development partners and operate using institutional-grade processes and technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership for daily operations and activities of the construction management and general contractor teams.
  • Hire and direct internal construction management team as the company scales up operations.
  • Develop a project estimate process for budgeting and modeling of potential development projects.
  • Oversee the procurement of construction services and materials to ensure diversity, quality, and savings from economies of scale in purchasing.
  • Manage internal and external construction management resources to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.
  • Visit job sites regularly to ensure they are clean and safe and that work is progressing satisfactorily.
  • Participate in weekly OAC meetings to manage project progress and ensure information is being communicated regularly.
  • Develop and maintain strong company relationships with key stakeholders through networking, industry events, and community involvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or construction management from an accredited institution.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in construction.
  • Professional interaction with team members, stakeholders, government officials, and staff.
  • Able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage projects and people at a high level.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve with creative solutions.
