Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Kitchen Team: Supervise and motivate a team of cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain full knowledge of menu items, including proper storage, preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Manage labor deployment, inventory levels, and food costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations and minimize waste.
  • Team Development: Partner with the General Manager to recruit, train, and retain a skilled kitchen team, providing coaching and feedback to ensure team members meet performance expectations.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and organized, following cleaning checklists and maintaining kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6 to 12 months of related restaurant experience or training, with a proven track record of success in a kitchen management role.
  • Certifications: Food Handler's Certification or ability to acquire, with a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Skills: Flexibility in schedule, general administrative and computer skills, and the ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
