Job Title: Head Chef

Paddle & Par, a premier indoor pickleball and golf club in Beverly Hills, Michigan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, preparation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and refine menu items, with a particular emphasis on wood fire pizza.
  • Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Implement and maintain standardized recipes and portion controls.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Manage the kitchen budget, including labor costs, food costs, and waste management.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and improved efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or club setting.
  • Expertise in wood fire pizza oven cooking is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Food safety certification required.
