Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our R&D team at Custom Ingredients Ltd. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the efficient operation of the R&D department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain and organize inventory of shipping and consumable supplies.
  • Retrieve information as requested from records, email, and other related documents.
  • Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including preparing reports, organizing files and records, and preparing written summaries of data when needed.
  • Answer and transfer phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Welcome and direct visitors.
  • Manage all mail for R&D, including packages that customers or vendors ship.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all colleagues, levels of management, vendors, and customers.
Working Conditions

The position works in a lab setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and standard lab equipment such as printers. The noise level in the work environment may often be loud.

Education and Experience

High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. 1+ year of experience in an administrative support role required.
