The Clinical Laboratory Operations Supervisor is entrusted with the oversight of their designated laboratory area. This role encompasses the organization of workflows, management of personnel, fostering staff development, budget management, quality control, process enhancement, and troubleshooting in service delivery.

Responsibilities include a blend of administrative and technical tasks that ensure the laboratory operates efficiently and effectively.

The Supervisor plays a crucial role in guiding the daily functions of the assigned laboratory area, ensuring that staff meet the needs of customers in alignment with Cottage Health's standards.

Key responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

  • Staff scheduling and management
  • Inventory oversight and supply management
  • Kronos timekeeping administration
  • Quality Control (QC) supervision
  • Training and competency evaluations
  • Performance assessments of staff
