Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under supervision, delivering professional nursing services while managing the operational functions of both primary and specialty care clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and psychological needs, implementing suitable nursing interventions and assisting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments.
  • Engage in a holistic, patient-centered approach to care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage care for patients with chronic or high-risk conditions, ensuring adherence to treatment plans.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of referral and case management processes.
  • Coordinate care delivery for patients and their families across various specialties, including pediatrics and women's health.
  • Facilitate effective communication among patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Implement workflows that enhance quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead care teams in fulfilling their responsibilities, including pre-visit preparations and identifying care gaps.
  • Provide mentorship and clinical support to nursing assistants and other healthcare staff.
  • Assume a leadership role by delegating tasks and guiding Licensed Vocational Nurses and medical assistants.
  • Perform patient triage, ensuring appropriate care levels based on established protocols.
  • Adhere to standardized procedures for medication management and nurse-led clinics.
  • Educate patients and families about medical procedures and health issues, providing necessary resources and referrals.
  • Maintain proficiency in specimen collection and point-of-care testing, interpreting results and administering treatments as needed.
  • Document patient conditions, treatments, and other required records accurately.
  • Assist in training new staff on clinic operations and technical procedures.
  • Oversee inventory management of medical supplies and ensure proper equipment in examination rooms.
  • Respond to health emergencies as required, including specimen collection during public health crises.
Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the California State Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification by the start of employment.
