Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care while managing clinic administration and optimizing patient flow.
  • Engage with faculty, residents, patients, and staff to enhance patient care and uphold safety standards.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks among nursing and supplemental staff in accordance with established protocols and policies.
  • Supervise nursing personnel, conduct performance evaluations, maintain annual staff competencies, and provide essential training for both new and existing staff.
  • Review staff timesheets for accuracy based on daily schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standards at all times.
  • Plan and adjust staffing levels daily to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the practice.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance process to uphold high standards of care.

Compensation:
$76.05 per hour

Qualifications:

Must possess an active license from the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners, including certifications in Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal.

Current CPR BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required.

A minimum of 3 years of LVN experience is essential.

Proficient in taking vital signs, administering medications, and processing drug refills as necessary.

Ability to identify abnormal laboratory results and communicate findings to the physician.

Strong understanding of common and critical medical conditions.

Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative working environment with physicians, staff, and healthcare providers.

Capable of performing phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other relevant skills within the scope of practice.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Windows functions and computerized patient care systems.

Knowledge of safety protocols when handling biohazardous materials or contaminated instruments.

Effective verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information courteously, both in person and over the phone.

Proven ability to lead a team through effective communication, collaboration, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Ability to work harmoniously with faculty, patients, nursing staff, and other team members.

Strong team-building and leadership skills, ideally with prior supervisory experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with instruments and supplies necessary for physical examinations and procedures.
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
