Quality Manager Job Description

Actalent is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality function, including Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Quality Control. The ideal candidate will have several years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven track record of leading QMS certification and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality function, including Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Quality Control
  • Ensure quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs
  • Lead QMS certification and audit activities (supplier and internal)
  • Ensure customer quality issues and non-conformances are resolved quickly
  • Maintain the quality management system (based on ISO 9001)
  • Grow the Quality team through hiring and development

Requirements:

  • Several years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (strongly preferred)
  • Proven leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Experience with the ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110
  • Proven knowledge of Root Cause/Corrective Action methodology, 8D, 5 why
  • Ability to build a culture that promotes a team environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on approach in taking charge of issues on the factory floor and seeing them through to resolution
  • Demonstrable experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action and data analysis
  • A working knowledge of SAP (preferred)
  • Ability to travel
