As a Healthcare Billing Specialist, you will be essential in facilitating a seamless claims process for our clients. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial as you analyze and input medical billing data, verify that billing codes align with medical records, and apply relevant fee schedules and coding regulations while making necessary adjustments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities, which will be invaluable when assisting medical representatives with coding inquiries and responding to calls from clients, providers, billing offices, and legal representatives.

This position offers a hybrid work model. You will be required to attend the office approximately four days a month for key meetings, training sessions, and collaborative efforts, while also benefiting from ongoing support and coaching from a dedicated team. Should you prefer a more traditional office setting, you are welcome to work in the office more frequently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine health insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for outstanding claims to ensure accurate payment
  • Confirm that Assignment of Benefits (AOB) has been submitted to the provider where applicable
  • Ensure timely processing of bills in accordance with state regulations
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Coding certification or a minimum of six months experience as a medical coder or equivalent administrative background
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient data entry skills and telephone usage
  • Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with medical coding regulations and local laws
  • Skilled in utilizing the Internet
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary state licenses
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Compensation
  • Annual salary range of $38,500 - $48,500 based on geographic location
  • Eligibility for a gainshare bonus of up to 16% of your earnings based on company performance
