Position Summary

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously while demonstrating initiative in completing daily responsibilities. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities are essential, alongside a collaborative spirit and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Processing claims submissions, including both electronic and manual formats.
  • Engaging with insurance providers regarding claims that have been denied.
  • Communicating with insurance companies and patients to address billing inquiries.
  • Resolving billing-related complaints from patients, staff, and insurance representatives.
  • Submitting appeals to insurance providers with the necessary documentation.
  • Conducting reviews of accounts receivable aging.
  • Overseeing assigned workflows, ensuring timely follow-up on claims, denials, and appeals for prompt payment.
  • Performing eligibility and benefit verifications.
  • Carrying out additional duties as required.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven understanding of CPT, ICD9, and ICD10 coding.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Billing and Accounts Receivable.
