ROLE DESCRIPTION:
In the capacity of a Policy Cancellation Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the Endorsement and Cancellation Unit within our Underwriting Department. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the timely and precise processing of cancellations and endorsements, addressing inquiries, and managing policy modifications in line with company protocols and regulatory standards. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals new to the insurance sector, offering pathways for knowledge transfer and career advancement. The role provides a remote work arrangement, allowing the selected candidate to operate from their preferred location within the Southeast region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the efficient and accurate processing of policy cancellations and endorsements within designated timeframes.
- Examine and validate cancellation requests to ensure completeness and precision.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect necessary information for processing.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries regarding cancellations and endorsements from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze and process cancellations in accordance with company processing guidelines and state statutory regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices concerning cancellation endorsements.
- Proactively follow up on cancellations and endorsements, as well as other policy modifications, to ensure timely completion.
- Work with other relevant departments to resolve any issues related to policy changes.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on processed cancellations and endorsements to guarantee accuracy and error-free transactions.
- Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in the processing workflow.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 6 months to 1 year of proven experience in underwriting or a comparable role within the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, regulations, and underwriting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
