Summary
As a Patient Care Technician at MD Anderson Cancer Center, you will play a vital role in providing patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Your impact will be felt in the comfort and outcome of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a member of a multidisciplinary team to identify and address patient care needs.
* Assist in completing activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge, and obtaining vital signs.
* Update and retrieve patient information.
* Ensure the patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
* Work as part of an assigned care team.
* Other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
* Received: Directly from a registered nurse.
* Given: None.
Requirements:
* Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
* Education Preferred: None.
* Experience Required: None.
* Experience Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant.
* Licensure/Certification Required: None.
* Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
* Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
