Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees scheduling to optimize the use of resources including healthcare providers, facilities, and equipment.
  2. Conducts schedule maintenance tasks such as managing clinic templates and coordinating care options for patients affected by scheduling changes.
  3. Engages with patients and clinical staff as needed to ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
  4. Assists the Practice Manager with data gathering and analysis related to physician efficiency and resource allocation.
  5. Facilitates the resolution and prevention of billing discrepancies and denials, including securing pre-authorizations or referrals as necessary.
  6. Registers patients and organizes or coordinates appointment scheduling.
  7. Provides educational materials and information to patients as required.
  8. Maintains strong relationships with patients, internal healthcare providers and staff, external hospital departments, physician offices, and vendors.
  9. Responds to all incoming inquiries from patients, providers, staff, and others regarding all aspects of practice operations.
  10. Conducts follow-ups with patients to ensure compliance with all testing, prescriptions, and care plans.
  11. May perform additional duties as assigned.
