Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator / Engineer to oversee and enhance our infrastructure projects and processes. A strong desire to learn, meticulous attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with the capacity to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proficiency in SQL coding and queries is required, as well as experience with PowerShell and a willingness to learn additional scripting languages. Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Oracle Cloud is preferred, and availability for on-call support may be necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems with a minimum of 8 years of relevant programming experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the team.
  • Strong SQL Database expertise.
  • Experience with SQL Server, coding, and queries.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud or similar platforms.
  • Experience with VMware.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
Primary Duties
60%: Develops new code or modifies existing code to fulfill the requirements of business applications. Conducts testing or debugging to ensure that functional requirements are met and that the output is of high quality, adhering to team-specific development standards.
15%: Provides production support, troubleshooting issues, resolving break-fixes, and performing ad-hoc data mining as directed by management. Availability for after-hours support may be required.
10%: Reviews, analyzes, and designs new assignments, identifying potential opportunities and challenges that may impact successful project completion. Collaborates with end users, third parties, IT staff, and management to define, plan, and scope projects, relying on experience and judgment to achieve these objectives.
10%: Occasionally leads or oversees the work of others.
5%: Adheres to existing documentation requirements for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and complies with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards as necessary.
