Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Classroom Para Educator to join our team at Springfield Public Schools. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide instructional assistance and support to teachers, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities
  • Support direct instruction to students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
  • Assist with classroom activities and prepare instructional materials
  • Manage individual and classroom behavior, and supervise students on field trips
  • Perform other support services and related duties as requested by the Building Principal
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Sixty (60) credit hours of college coursework or an associate's degree
  • A passing score on one of the following formalized standardized assessments: ParaPro Assessment or WorkKeys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants
  • Current authorization to work in the United States
