Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Developmental Specialist/Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in comprehensive assessments of children's developmental status and create individualized plans to support their growth and development.
  • Provide direct child development services, including activities and interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with families to identify goals, objectives, and strategies to support their child's development and well-being.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that prioritize family-centered, evidence-based practices.
  • Provide supportive professional assistance to families, empowering them to act as advocates for their child's needs.
  • Facilitate parent-child interactions to promote healthy development and relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education, with a minimum of 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, with a focus on early intervention and family-centered practices.
  • Strong knowledge of family systems, early childhood development, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
