Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Scheduling Representative to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our Access team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing scheduling processes, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complex Scheduling: Schedule multi-specialty and multi-disciplinary patient appointments in a timely and efficient manner, taking into account the characteristics and complexity of the patient population.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Registration and Check-In: Complete all registration elements, including demographic and insurance information, and verify patient identities to ensure accurate and secure data capture.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Customer service experience preferred.
  • Licensure: None required.
Physical Demands

The job requires sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive motion (computer and mouse use), and proficient communicative skills across spoken and written domains. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly and compose messages clearly and concisely are essential.
