About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Banking Professional to join our team at SNB. As a key member of our Loan Officer team, you will be responsible for developing new commercial banking relationships through business development efforts, with a focus on lending, while retaining and growing existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Attend to the needs of customers seeking loans that may involve unsecured funds and/or credit secured by mortgages or other collateral.
  • Business Development: Interview applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk.
  • Community Involvement: Participate in community and business groups to ensure a positive image for the Bank and establish COI referral contacts within the market.
  • Sales Planning: Develop a sales plan to prioritize and organize revenue generating sales opportunities.
  • Loan Negotiation: Identify and negotiate proper loan and deposit opportunities that optimize credit quality and profitability.
  • Financial Analysis: Obtain and analyze financial data and provide service on approved lines of credit, equipment financing loans, etc.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions on loans and terms if within own lending limits or makes recommendation to department head.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Uses Customer Relationship Management system to track business development efforts and prospects.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage existing portfolio for timely financial statements, renewals, annual reviews, modifications, etc.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 4 year college degree or related work experience, 5+ year of lending experience, extensive knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills, strong attention to detail, understanding of lending, ability to identify missing items, advanced organizational skills, ability to work under deadlines, independent thinking, analytical skills, self-motivation, strong oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated teamwork.
