Key Responsibilities- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients, including taking medical histories, administering medications, and performing laboratory tests.
- Coordinate patient flow and manage internal and external medical records to ensure accurate and complete data.
- Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and communicating with other departments.
- Assist in obtaining insurance prior authorizations and managing patient vaccinations.
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program.
- Completion of a healthcare profession program with a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program.
